Sex discordance between cell-free DNA (cfDNA) testing and ultrasound examination is rare but can cause significant patient discomfort and uncertainty. Here, we present two clinical cases where a closer examination of raw sequencing data allowed us to anticipate possible discrepancies caused by the insertion of Y-chromosome regions into the maternal genome. We used Illumina's VeriSeq NIPT Solution v2 and a proprietary bioinformatics pipeline to analyze cfDNA in the maternal bloodstream.

Methods: A cross sectional study was performed in patients exhibiting overdipper and non-overdipper blood pressure patterns, respectively. Different optic parameters were assessed including the analysis of ganglion cell layer (GCL), peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) and Bruch's membrane opening-minimum rim width (BMO-MRW), as well as changes produced in choroidal thickness (CT) and lamina cribrosa (LC) position at two different periods of the day (early morning and evening).
A number of studies have demonstrated the prevalence of cyberbullying in university settings. The objective of this research is to conduct a cluster analysis to categorize victims according to the nature of the behavior they have received and to examine the relationship between gender and intention to drop out. To this end, the Online Victimization Questionnaire was administered to a sample of 800 first-year students at a university in northern Spain who had opted to participate in the study.

This study aimed to analyze the changes in the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) from the acute to stable phase of PE as well as the factors associated.
Patients/methods: We conducted a prospective, longitudinal and multicenter study of consecutive adults requiring hospitalization for non-hypotensive acute PE, with a protocol including clinical, imaging (transthoracic echocardiography [TTE] and computed tomography), blood tests and a sleep study within 48 h of diagnosis of PE.
