Background: Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) represents a common challenge for athletes and has been a focal point of research in sports science. Eccentric exercise, known to induce DOMS, significantly impacts recovery and physiological processes. Electromagnetic stimulation, both transcranial and peripheral, has gained attention in sports medicine due to its demonstrated benefits in various conditions, offering potential as a recovery-enhancing tool for athletes.

Leveraging sequential data from the eICU database, our two-stage architecture dynamically captures evolving health trajectories throughout a patient's ICU stay, enabling real-time identification of high-risk individuals and actionable insights for personalized interventions. The model demonstrated exceptional predictive power, achieving a progressive AUC increase from 0.

In the present study, we have investigated whether a possible early deterioration in the blood-brain barrier (BBB) may facilitate the infiltration of immune cells to the brain parenchyma, which may contribute to these pathogenic events.

Morphological changes in axons, such as axonal varicosities or beadings, are observed in neurological disorders, as well as in development and aging. Here, we reveal the sensitivity of time-dependent diffusion MRI (dMRI) to axonal morphology at the micrometer scale.

Kiosk devices for unsupervised self-measurement of blood pressure (BP) are being used in public spaces and healthcare settings in several countries. This statement by the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) Working Group on BP Monitoring and Cardiovascular Variability provides a review of the published evidence on kiosk BP devices and consensus recommendations for their requirements and clinical use. A systematic literature search identified 54 relevant studies.
