Through meta-genetic analysis of Cucumis melo sweetness, we expand the description of the complex genetic architecture of this trait. Integration of extensive new results with published QTL data provides an outline towards construction of a melon sweetness pan-QTLome. An ultimate objective in crop genetics is describing the complete repertoire of genes and alleles that shape the phenotypic variation of a quantitative trait within a species.

In this Review, we discuss ten AI hallmarks in precision oncology, organized into three groups: (1) cancer prevention and diagnosis, encompassing cancer screening, detection and profiling; (2) optimizing current treatments, including patient outcome prediction, treatment planning and monitoring, clinical trial design and matching, and developing response biomarkers; and (3) advancing new treatments by identifying treatment combinations, discovering cancer vulnerabilities and designing drugs. We also survey AI applications in interventional clinical trials and address key challenges to broader clinical adoption of AI: data quality and quantity, model accuracy, clinical relevance and patient benefit, proposing actionable solutions for each.

To address this, major control points in carotenoid and ascorbic acid (AsA) production were targeted using a viral-based CRISPR/Cas9 system in the commercial lettuce cultivar 'Noga'. Knockout of lycopene ε-cyclase (LCY-ε), the enzymatic gatekeeper opposing production of β-branch carotenoids, increased β-carotene (provitamin A) levels up to 2.

A new methodology that exploits the properties of clusters of hits reconstructed in the innermost silicon detector layers is introduced to study highly ionizing particles in heavy-ion data.

This CANMAT guideline aims to provide comprehensive clinical guidance for the pregnancy and postpartum (perinatal) management of mood, anxiety and related disorders.
Methods: CANMAT convened a core editorial group of interdisciplinary academic clinicians and persons with lived experience (PWLE), and 3 advisory panels of PWLE and perinatal health and perinatal mental health clinicians.
