The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of an aquatic progressive resistance exercise (APRE) and PBM (associated or not) on morphology of skeletal muscle and biochemical markers using an experimental model of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Fifty male Wistar rats were randomly distributed into 5 groups: control group (CG); OA control (OAC); OA submitted to APRE (OAE); OA submitted to PBM (OAL); OA submitted to APRE and PBM (OAEL). Trained rats performed a water-jumping program carrying a load equivalent to 50-80% of their body mass strapped to their chest.

Innovative skin dressings are needed for an effective skin wound treatment. Here in, it was used spongin-like collagen (SC) from marine sponge Chondrilla caribensis as a promising biomaterial, sodium alginate as matrix and, 3D printing technique to manufacture skin dressings in three concentrations (C1, C2, C3). The physicochemical, morphological and biological (in vitro) results were investigated.

The present systematic review was built according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria. Different genotoxicity assays were used by different authors, although the major goal was the genotoxicity assessment by means of micronucleus, comet, sister chromatid exchange, and chromosomal aberration assays.

Due to the closely interlinked structure of the composing materials, the selective recycling of copper and closely associated precious metals from this composite material is compromised by losses during mechanical pre-processing. This problem could partially be overcome by a better understanding of the influence of particle size and shape on the recovery of finely comminuted and well-liberated metal particles during mechanical separation.

In this context, hydrogels have been used as a promising treatment for stimulating tissue ingrowth and healing in these injuries. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the findings of studies that investigated the effects of injectable hydrogels of various origins on skin wound healing using in vivo experimental models in diabetic rats.
