Single crystals of the solid solution iron aluminium tris(dihydrogenphosphate), (Fe(0.81)Al(0.19))(H(2)PO(4))(3), have been prepared under hydrothermal conditions.

[Management of medulloblastoma in children: the experience of a single institution in Liege from 1991 to 2005].

We present the experience of the Citadelle Hospital (Liege, B) in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of medulloblastoma in children. A retrospective study of 10 cases of medulloblastoma was performed. Five years after diagnosis, the event-free survival was 77%.

Hypertrichosis, Fallot tetralogy, growth and developmental delay.

We report a female patient with a unique pattern of pre- and postnatal growth deficiency, tetralogy of Fallot, very long eyelashes (trichomegaly), progressive and generalized hypertrichosis lanuginosa, brain atrophy with epilepsy, and puffy hands and feet. This appears to be a "new" entity within the group of syndromal hypertrichoses, possibly pathogenetically related to, but clinically distinct from Ambras or Oliver-McFarlane syndromes.

Nonfibrous mineralogical analysis of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from blast-furnace workers.

Steelworkers are exposed to many pollutants, and they are at risk for developing lung cancer. We demonstrated previously that steelworkers may be subject to an occult exposure to amphiboles in the plant environment. In the current study, we further analyzed bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of steelworkers by measuring intramacrophagic trace-metal content and nonfibrous mineral particles, using the particle-induced x-ray emission method and electron microscopy, respectively.
