Objectives: Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) will become a major cause of blindness in Nigerian children unless screening and treatment services expand. This article aims to describe the collaborative activities undertaken to improve services for ROP between 2017 and 2020 as well as the outcome of these activities in Nigeria.
Design: Descriptive case study.

A national baseline survey of mass media in Nigeria was carried out for 4 weeks in the month of July 2009. The objective was to design an intervention strategy to increase the knowledge of the country's population on the risk-factors associated with the practice of cross-generational sex (CGS) as well as changing perception toward the practice. The survey showed that the practice of CGS is now on the increase and that young girls are the victims.

Over 60% of MS patients show detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia, an abnormality characterized by obstruction of urinary outflow as a result of discoordinated contraction of the urethral sphincter muscle and the bladder detrusor muscle. In the current study we examined bladder function in female SWXJ mice with different defined levels of neurological impairment following induction of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), an animal model of central nervous system inflammation widely used in MS research.

This study reports the characterization of 4-methyl-N-(2,2,2-trichloro-1-(3-pyridin-3-ylthioureido)ethyl)benzamide (A-251179) as a K(ATP) channel opener.
Experimental Approach: Glyburide-sensitive membrane potential, patch clamp and tension assays were employed to study the effect of A-251179 in vitro.
