Clinical Presentation: Here, we report the case of a patient presenting with benign transient lymphangiectasis of the penis (BTLP), including its differential diagnosis and treatment. Conclusion headings: BTLP is not an uncommon pathology and diagnosis is based only on medical history and clinical examination.

Nutritive value of some tropical grasses used by traditional small farms in the highlands of Burundi.

The objective was to estimate--according to the French feeding system--the nutritive value of three tropical grasses (Eragrostis olivacea, Setaria sphacelata and Tripsacum laxum) used in traditional small farms of Burundi. Dry matter (DM) yield was monitored on anti-erosive hedges or on small fields in 60 small farms for eight consecutive years. DM intake and digestibility values were measured on seven steers or seven male sheep.

In vivo surface strain and stereology of the frontal and maxillary bones of sheep: implications for the structural design of the mammalian skull.

Does the skull of the sheep behave as a tube or as a complex of independent bones linked by sutures? Is the architecture within cranial bones optimized to local strain alignment? We attempted to answer these questions for the sheep by recording from rosette strain gauges on each frontal and maxillary bone and from single-axis gauges on each dentary of five sheep while they fed on hay. Bone structure was assessed at each rosette gauge site by stereological analysis of high-resolution radiographs. Structural and strain orientations were tested for statistical agreement.
