COVID-19 persists as the most challenging pandemic of the 21 century with a high rate of transmission. The main pathway of SARS-CoV-2 transmission is aerosol-mediated infection transfer through virus-laden droplets that are expelled by infected people, whereas indirect transmission occurs when contact is made with a contaminated surface. This mini review delivers an overview of the current state of knowledge, research directions, and applications by examining the most recent developments in antiviral surface coatings and filters and analyzing their efficiencies.

A 2 : 1 urea ⋅ adipic acid cocrystal was obtained in two polymorphic forms (Form I reported earlier, and Form II synthesized in this study) using mechanochemistry as well as solution crystallization. Lower solubility and leaching study showed the newly synthesized urea ⋅ adipic acid 2 : 1 cocrystal to be an efficient sustained-release nitrogen fertilizer compared to commercially available urea.

Regardless of advanced technology and innovation, infectious diseases continue to be one of the extreme health challenges in modern world. Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top ten causes of deaths worldwide and the leading cause of death from a single infectious agent. The conventional TB drug therapy requires a long term treatment with frequent and multiple drug dosing with a stiff administration schedule, which results in low patient compliance.
