Background: This study was developed to determine whether a machine learning model could be developed to assess blood pressure with accuracy comparable to arm cuff measurements.
Methods: A deep learning model was developed based on the UK Biobank dataset and was trained to detect both systolic and diastolic pressure. The hypothesis was formulated after data collection and before the development of the model.
Introduction: There are consistent data demonstrating socioeconomic status (SES) is associated with cancer survivorship among older adults, but research on the relationship between area-level SES and risk of premature mortality from cancer remains not well understood. This study investigated the association between county-level SES and premature mortality from cancer.
Methods: Demographic characteristics and causes of death were ascertained from the national death certificate data for years 2016-2020.
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and eating disorders (EDs) frequently co-occur, with PTSD potentially worsening ED treatment outcomes. Integrated and concurrent interventions that treat both conditions together have been recommended, but no best practices exist. This case series of nine patients provides preliminary data on Written Exposure Therapy (WET), a brief, low-resource PTSD intervention, delivered concurrently with inpatient or day hospital ED treatment.

This study implemented a theoretical model to quantify the impact of these impairments on retinal blood flow and oxygenation as intraluminal pressure (Pa) is varied.
Methods: A theoretical model of the retinal vasculature was used to simulate reductions in CD by 10% (early glaucoma) and 30% to 50% (advanced glaucoma), a range in autoregulation capacity from 0% (totally impaired) to 100% (totally functional), and normal (15 mm Hg) and elevated (25 mm Hg) levels of IOP.
