The variability of PRP is a major contributor to the lack of evidence regarding the therapeutic effect of PRP in musculoskeletal diseases. In a large study, we are currently investigating factors that may influence PRP variability. Interim results showed that concentrations of IL‑6, but not IGF‑1 or cellular constituents, were significantly decreased in PRP samples from vegans compared with omnivores and tended to be decreased compared to samples from vegetarians.

CBL1 is an EF hand Ca binding protein from A. thaliana that is involved in the detection of cellular Ca signals and the downstream signal transmission by interaction with the protein kinase CIPK23. So far, the structure and calcium ion binding affinities of CBL1 remain elusive.

This phenomenon is often referred to as activation. To this end we probe the evolution of the structure and surface elemental composition of the oxygen carrier with redox cycling by both textural and morphological characterization techniques (N physisorption, microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction and X-ray absorption spectroscopy).
