Research facilities such as spallation sources and synchrotrons generate radiation for use in atomic-level or molecular-scale experiments. These facilities can be viewed as complex safety-critical systems. An important aspect of the safety management of such systems is the short safety education and training programme the users are required to undergo in order to gain facility access.

"A balancing act": parents' longitudinal perspectives of weight-related discussions with their children following obesity treatment.

Weight-related discussions during childhood may have long-lasting effects on children's body image and well-being. However, little is known about how parents frame these discussions with children who have undergone treatment for obesity. Tebipenem pivoxil hydrobromide (TBP-PI-HBr) is an oral prodrug of pharmacologically active moiety tebipenem (TBP), which is a carbapenem with activity against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative pathogens. Conversion from the prodrug to the active moiety, namely, TBP, occurs in the enterocytes of the gastrointestinal tract via intestinal esterases. The absorption, metabolism, and excretion in humans were evaluated, following the administration of a single oral dose of [C]-TBP-PI-HBr.
