Article Synopsis
  • - The study assesses the utility, outcomes, and costs associated with arterial line placement in patients undergoing robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomies (RALP) at a tertiary care center from July 2018 to January 2021.
  • - A retrospective review of 296 patients revealed that while arterial line placement did not predict preoperative characteristics or impact complication rates, it was linked to increased intraoperative fluid administration and longer hospital stays.
  • - The conclusion suggests that arterial lines may not be essential for RALP patients, as they don't reduce perioperative complications but do lead to longer stays and increased cost variability, prompting a need for careful evaluation by the surgical and anesthesia teams.

Objectives: To present evaluation and treatment recommendations for female sexual dysfunction treatment and evaluation, in addition to surgical templates during radical cystectomy (RC).
