Patients on veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO) are at high risk for ventricular arrhythmias due to derangements in myocardial perfusion, hemodynamics, and heightened catecholamine states. Existing data on the management and outcomes of patients with electrical storm or refractory ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation (VT/VF) treated with VA-ECMO are primarily derived from retrospective observational studies. Typical survival rates are in the range of 40-50%, with 15-20% of patients undergoing VT ablation and 30-40% of patients requiring advanced heart failure therapies (cardiac transplant or durable left ventricular assist device).

Background: Coronary assessment is frequently conducted in patients with sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia (SMVT); however, its yield and subsequent treatment implications remain unclear. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients presenting with SMVT, factors influencing clinician referral for coronary assessment, and clinical outcomes based on revascularisation or medical management of CAD.

Method: Consecutive patients presenting with acute SMVT requiring inpatient admission between 2017 and 2022 were identified.

A sudden transition to a state of high-amplitude periodic oscillations is catastrophic in a thermo-fluid system. Conventionally, upon varying the control parameter, a sudden transition is observed as an abrupt jump in the amplitude of the fluctuations in these systems. In contrast, we present an experimental discovery of a canard explosion in a turbulent reactive flow system where we observe a continuous bifurcation with a rapid rise in the amplitude of the fluctuations within a narrow range of control parameters.

Dry reforming of methane (DRM) was extensively studied on Cu-doped LaNiO catalysts. The main findings of this work are as follows: (i) thermal switching of the catalyst phase between the parent perovskite and molecular-level nanocomposite of individual components formed during DRM, (ii) reusability of the catalyst with enhanced activity, and (iii) regeneration of the catalyst phase at a lower temperature than that required for the formation of the parent perovskite. The present investigation provides an extensive analysis and understanding of the DRM reaction using Cu-doped LaNiO compared to the result reported by Moradi , (, 2012, , 797-801) and hence provides new insights into its catalytic activity.

Introduction: Understanding the spatiotemporal location of the spontaneous termination of ventricular tachycardia (VT) may provide new insights for ablation. To test the hypothesis that spontaneous VT termination most frequently occurs at the VT exit due to source-sink mismatch and to characterize electrophysiological properties of the sites termination during VT and with extra-stimulus technique.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of intraoperative mapping studies of nine patients with ischemic cardiopathy or repaired tetralogy of Fallot.
