Characterization of crop-growing environments in relation to crop's genotypic performance is crucial to harness positive genotype-by-environment interactions (GEI) in systematic breeding programs. Given that, the study aimed to delineate the impact of diverse environments on crop phenology and yield traits of dwarf-statured field pea, pinpointing location(s) favoring higher yield and distinctiveness within breeding lines. We tested twelve field pea breeding lines across twenty locations in India, covering Central Zone (CZ), North Western Plain Zone (NWPZ), North Eastern Plain Zone (NEPZ), and Northern Hill Zone (NHZ).

We explore this question using the quantum analog of a classical impact oscillator, which consists of a forced spring-mass-damper system, with a wall it may collide against. The classical impact oscillator is known to undergo a sudden transition to chaos when the mass grazes the wall. We numerically compute the evolution of the wave function in the equivalent quantum system and investigate the dynamical signatures.

Case Presentation: We report a case of a 26-year-old South Asian gravida with a previous history of quadruple miscarriage and ovulation induction, presented as intestinal obstruction due to reverse malrotation.
Three dimensional (3D) ultra-structural imaging is an important tool for unraveling the organizational structure of individual chromosomes at various stages of the cell cycle. Performing hitherto uninvestigated ultra-structural analysis of the human genome at prophase, we used serial block-face scanning electron microscopy (SBFSEM) to understand chromosomal architectural organization within 3D nuclear space. Acquired images allowed us to segment, reconstruct, and extract quantitative 3D structural information about the prophase nucleus and the preserved, intact individual chromosomes within it.
