Women's experiences of risk-stratified breast cancer screening in the MyPeBS trial: a qualitative comparative study across two European countries.

Objective: Risk-stratification should improve the benefits-to-harms ratio for breast screening, whereby higher-risk women receive additional screening and low-risk women are screened less. This study investigated the effects of healthcare context by comparing how women in England and France experienced risk-based breast screening.

Methods And Measures: Fifty-two women were purposively sampled from participants who underwent risk-based screening in the MyPeBS trial.

Background: After the announcement in March 2020 of the COVID-19 pandemic, colorectal cancer (CRC) screening programs were suspended in several countries. Compared to the lesions detected during previous campaigns, this study aims to assess the severity of CRC detected during the 2020 screening campaign in ÃŽle-de-France, the French region most affected by the 1 wave of the pandemic.

Methods: The descriptive and etiological study included all faecal immunochemical test (FIT) results carried out between January 2017 and December 2020 on people aged 50-74, living in ÃŽle-de-France.

Background: Since its complete roll-out in 2009, the French colorectal cancer screening program (CRCSP) experienced 3 major constraints [use of a less efficient Guaiac-test (gFOBT), stopping the supply of Fecal-Immunochemical-Test kits (FIT), and suspension of the program due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)] affecting its effectiveness.

Fertility after ectopic pregnancy (EP) was investigated in a non-selected population taking into account intrauterine device (IUD) use at the time of the EP. Between January 1992 and June 1996, 647 women listed in the EP register of Auvergne (France) were followed up. The analysis included only the 328 women who were seeking to become pregnant: 23 women using IUD at the time of the index EP (IUD users) and 305 IUD non-users.

Estrogen receptor negative and progesterone receptor positive primary breast cancer: pathological characteristics and clinical outcome. Institut Curie Breast Cancer Study Group.

The expression of estrogen (ER) and progesterone (PgR) receptors was analyzed in a retrospective series of 3000 patients who had operable primary breast cancer. Patients were stratified according to ER and PgR status and the study was focused on the two groups (ER-PgR+ and ER-PgR-) of patients whose tumors contained low levels of ER (< 15 fmol/mg protein), regarding potential response to endocrine therapy. The comparison of clinical or histological characteristics between ER-PgR+ and ER-PgR- patients was analyzed as well as the disease-related death and survival.
