The role of metrology in the industrial and manufacturing sectors is of paramount importance to ensure informed decision-making whether for product quality control, process monitoring and R&D activities. However, to guarantee the quality and reliability of analytical measurements, the development and use of appropriate reference materials (CRMs) is essential. In particular, certified reference materials (CRMs) are extensively used to validate analytical methods in a multitude of applications, measure uncertainty, improve the accuracy of measurement data, as well as to establish the meteorological traceability of analytical results.

Integrated sensor fault estimation and control for continuous-time switched systems: A new separation principle.

In this paper, we address the state/fault estimation and observer-based control issues for switched systems with sensor faults. The main objective is to estimate sensor faults and compensate for their effects on the system state estimation, and then stabilize the switched system by the estimated state feedback. Applying the mode-dependent average dwell time (MDADT) concept and the Lyapunov stability theory, a new separation principle is developed, which allows formalizing the observer-based controller design in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) instead of bilinear ones.

Integrated fault detection and control design for continuous-time switched systems under asynchronous switching.

This paper focuses on the integrated fault detection and control design (IFDCD) problem for continuous-time switched systems under asynchronous switching. Main goal is to design an observer by using piecewise Lyapunov function, H∞ control technique and average dwell time approach. In addition, switched controllers are designed such that the closed-loop switched system is asymptotically stable.

[Free nonvascularized bone graft evolution after mandibular resections: 45 cases report].

The resection of mandibular benign tumors often require reconstruction. The purpose of our study is to present the middle and long-term results of 45 patients, treated by free no-vascularized bone graft after resection of benign tumors, dominated by the ameloblastoma. The PSIM type III hemimandibulectomy was the most frequent (58%).

[Recurrent ameloblastoma on a rib graft after 33 years (a case report and review of the literature)].

Introduction: The recurrence of an ameloblastoma is generally due to insufficient margins of resection or to the aggressiveness of the tumour which is regarded as locally malignant. Recurrencies on autologus osseous graft are rare in the literature. We report the case of a recurrent ameloblastoma on autologus rib graft which occurred 33 years after the surgery.
