This paper presents a simulation study and an experimental implementation of a single-phase Series Active Power Filter (SAPF) for the mitigation of harmonics in the load voltage. The aim is to regulate the injection voltage of the SAPF to compensate the grid voltage via the injection transformer in addition to maintaining the load voltage stable. The control strategies investigated in this work include Backstepping Sliding Mode Control (BSMC) and a neuro-fuzzy controller based on ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) l.

The level and origin of the contamination were evaluated using several geochemical and isotopic indicators. Elements were grouped by their level of contamination: high (Pb > Cd > Zn > Cu) and low (Al, Fe, Cr, Co, Ni).

To cope with this deluge of data, scientists use distributed computing and storage infrastructures. The use of such infrastructures introduces by itself new challenges to the scientists in terms of proper and efficient use.

Granulocytic sarcoma is an uncommon and localized extramedullary tumor composed of immature granulocytic cells. It may present in association with acute myeloid leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome and chronic myelogenous leukaemia. Granulocytic sarcoma may occur in any anatomical site but involvement of the gastrointestinal tract is rare, especially in the rectum.

Scoring systems have been developed to predict probability of non-SN metastases among those with a positive SN. The goal of the present study was to determine whether the five models (Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), Stanford, Tenon, Cambridge and the Turkish model) accurately predicted non-SN involvement in a North African Tunisian population.
