New onset of uveitis during infliximab treatment: A case report.

Introduction: Anti-tumor necrosis factor α (anti-TNF α) agents are an effective treatment for a variety of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. In ophthalmology anti-TNF α began to emerge as a possible therapy for non-infectious uveitis, paradoxically their administration may result in the onset or recurrence of inflammatory eye disease such as uveitis. We reported a case of new onset of bilateral anterior and intermediate uveitis in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) while being treated with infliximab and we performed a review of literature.

OCT-Angiography of deep and superficial retinal vascular density changes in diabetes without diabetic retinopathy.

Purpose: To analyze the vascular density values (VD) in the superficial and the deep retinal network and in all perimacular sectors of diabetic eyes without clinical retinopathy, comparing them to that of healthy, nondiabetic control eyes. We investigated the factors that may influence these values.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional study including diabetics without diabetic retinopathy and healthy control subjects.

Calcaneal lengthening osteotomy in the management of idiopathic flatfoot in children: cCase series of twenty-one feet.

Introduction: Flatfoot is a frequent reason for consultation in pediatric orthopedics. The calcaneal lengthening osteotomy according to the EVANS technique is a therapeutic alternative. The objective of this work was to evaluate the short and medium term clinical and radiological results of calcaneal lengthening osteotomy in children with idiopathic flat foot valgus.
