Myocardial Blood Flow and Flow Reserve in Patients With Acute Myocardial Infarction and Obstructive and Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries: CZT SPECT Study.

Background: To assess single-photon emission computed tomography cadmium-zinc-telluride (SPECT CZT)-derived myocardial blood flow (MBF) flow reserve (MFR) and flow difference (FD) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and to compare this data with serum cardiac troponin and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) findings.

Methods: A total of 31 patients with AMI underwent invasive coronary angiography (ICA), serial high-sensitivity serum cardiac troponin I (cTnI) measurement, and CZT SPECT with visual and quantitative (MBF, MFR, and FD) perfusion parameters, and contrast-enhanced CMR. All patients with AMI were divided into two groups: (1) with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA), = 10; (2) with obstructive coronary artery disease (MICAD), = 21.

[Comparative analysis of mono- and bipolar pyramidal tract mapping in patients with supratentorial tumors adjacent to motor areas: comparison of data at 64 stimulation points].

Objective: To compare monopolar and bipolar mapping in point-by-point fashion by using of threshold amperage, frequency of positive motor responses and the number of muscles involved in response.

Material And Methods: A prospective non-randomized study included 14 patients with supratentorial tumors who underwent surgery in 2018-2019. All neoplasms were localized within 2 cm from the motor cortex and pyramidal tract.

Molecular characterization of Neisseria gonorrhoeae isolates in Almaty, Kazakhstan, by VNTR analysis, Opa-typing and NG-MAST.

In the present study, new variable number tandem repeats (VNTR) loci in the Neisseria gonorrhoeae genome were identified in silico. VNTR analysis scheme using PCR and agarose or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was developed based on nine VNTR loci with various degrees of polymorphism. The method was used to genotype a collection of 48 isolates, obtained from patients with gonorrhea in Almaty, Kazakhstan during the period from December 2008 to November 2009.
