The effect of biopesticide compound spinosad in different concentrations was tested for the first time under laboratory conditions against the rapidly spreading forest pest, oak lace bug (, Say 1832), and its effects were compared with the synthetic pesticide lambda-cyhalothrin. These results revealed a significant effect of spinosad at 2 mL/4 L and 2 mL/2 L water concentrations against nymphs. The mortality rate after 3 days was similar to synthetic insecticide effects and reached 94% and 98%, respectively.

The number of wild bees and cavity-nesting wasps is abundant in agricultural areas and they contribute significantly to ecosystem services. Due to their specialization in nesting sites and food sources, these groups are sensitive to habitat condition changes and they are therefore important indicators for environmental impact assessments. As semi-natural habitats are steadily declining and often understudied, their significance for research is increasingly recognized.

The mechanisms of endotoxin tolerance (ET), which down-regulate inflammation, are well described in response to exogenous toll-like receptor ligands, but few studies have focused on ET-associated mechanisms in inflammatory disease. As blocking TNF can attenuate the development of ET, the effect of anti-TNF on the expression of key ET-associated molecules in inflammatory auto-immune disease was measured; changes in inflammatory gene expression were confirmed using an ET bioassay. The expression of immunomodulatory molecules was measured in a murine model of arthritis treated with anti-TNF and the expression of ET-associated molecules was measured in whole blood in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients, before and after therapy.

: Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions that lead to abnormal movements and postures; it has a major impact on patients' health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The aim of this study was to examine the HRQoL of Romanian patients with dystonia using the EQ-5D-5L instrument. : Responses to the EQ-5D-5L and the visual analogue scale (VAS) were collected alongside demographic and clinical characteristics.
