[Structure of venular vessels and cellular composition of hepatic sinusoidal capillaries in newborn infants].

The objective of this study was to identify the structural peculiarities of terminal interlobular venules and to determine the number of endotheliocytes, hepatic fat-storing cells (FSC) and stellate macrophages (SM) in the liver of newborn infants. Liver fragments were obtained from 5 healthy newborn infants during medico-legal autopsies. In the sections stained using Mallory's method, the relation of the connective tissue of terminal portal tracts with the adventitia of interlobular veins was determined.

[Transurethral contact electroimpulse ureteropyelolithotripsy].

Transurethral contact electroimpulse ureteropyelolithotripsy (TCEUT) was conducted in 161 patients aged 18 to 84 years (mean age 47 +/- 14 years) admitted to the urological department of Zhukovsky city hospital in 2006-2009. Female/male proportion 1.4:1.

[Role of oxytocin in activation of spontaneous electrical activity of uterine body and uterine tubes in non-pregnant rats].

The work studies effects of various doses of oxytocin (0.01, 0.1, 1 and 10 microg/kg) on duration of discharges of spontaneous electrical activity and frequency of spikes in various parts of uterine tubes and of uterine body of non-pregnant rats.

[Repeat endovascular interventions after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (tips) procedures].

The authors share their experience with transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) procedures preformed in a total of fifty-nine patients diagnosed with and hence operated on for class B and C hepatocirrhosis (according to the Child-Turcotte-Pugh classification), portal hypertension, grade 3 varicosely dilated oesophageal veins, or ascites. Of these, there were 12 women and 47 men (average age 56.3 years).

Carboxyangiography: a new type of opacification in angiographic practice--first clinical experience.

The study was undertaken to investigate a possibility of clinical application of medical-purpose CO2 as an alternative radiopaque agent (RA) for visualization of major arteries and veins. During the period from April 2009 to June 2010, a total of fifty 38-to-72-year-old patients (mean age 58 years) underwent angiographic examinations wherein medical-purpose CO2 was employed as a radiopaque agent. We performed 39 aorto-arteriographies, 10 portographies, and one mesentericography.
