Background: The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) now named National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) was launched to achieve easy access to affordable quality healthcare for all Nigerians. This study aimed at evaluating patients' satisfaction with the services accessed at the NHIS clinic in a tertiary teaching hospital in Southwest, Nigeria.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study carried out at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, Nigeria included all adult patients (> 18 years) who have been enrolled in the scheme for at least one year and have accessed healthcare at the clinic within three months preceding the study.
Background: In broiler chickens, the efficient utilization of macro- and micronutrients is influenced by various metabolic pathways that are closely linked to feed efficiency (FE), a critical metric in poultry industry, with residual feed intake (RFI) as the preferred proxy. Feed restriction is considered an approach to address the underlying molecular mechanisms of feed conversion. We hypothesized that broiler chickens with divergent RFI subjected to quantitative feed restriction differ in their pattern of molecular pathways for efficient nutrient utilization in liver as post-absorptive tissue.

As a result, an understanding of farmers' adaptation techniques to offset the negative impacts of climate change is imperative. Here we present the data on the impact of climate-smart agricultural (CSA) practices on productivity and food-nutrition security (FNS) in the 2022-2023 agricultural production season among smallholder maize farmers in North-West Province, South Africa.

Nigeria has a high burden of cancer, however its remote underserved culturally-conserved populations have been understudied, a gap this study sought to fill.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional multi-institutional descriptive study of histologically diagnosed cancers over a four-year period (January 2019-December 2022) archived in the Departments of Pathology and Cancer Registries of six tertiary hospitals in the northeast of Nigeria.
There is a need to constantly assess the awareness, treatment, and control of hypertension in Nigeria. This study determined the frequency of undiagnosed hypertension across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. We conducted an opportunistic screening of adults aged at least 18 years in the month of May 2021.
