Our aim was to evaluate the possible long-term cerebral deposition of amyloid-β in patients with PD treated with subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) and its possible influence on axial and cognitive variables. Consecutive PD patients treated with bilateral STN-DBS with a long-term follow-up were included. The amyloid-β deposition was evaluated postoperatively through an 18F-flutemetamol positron emission tomography (PET) study.

In humans, CKD is an increasing global health problem, in particular in the western world, while in cats and dogs, CKD is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity. Here, we aimed to develop an enhanced understanding of the knowledge base related to the pathophysiology of renal disease and CKD in cats and dogs.

Research Question: What are the immediate changes after NOS as assessed by GPS and GVS, and how does GPS variation (ΔGPS) compare to the clinical opinion of the NOS outcome?
Methods: Prospective single-arm cohort study. CwCP were assessed before NOS and after the first month of weight-bearing.
Multiproduct manufacturing of biotherapeutic proteins generate cleaning-induced protein degradants because of extreme pH and temperature conditions during the cleaning process. Cleaning Acceptance limits are calculated based on the maximum allowable carryover (MAC) assessment of the previously manufactured active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) - or drug product - based on the permitted daily exposure (PDE) of the previously manufactured API into the dose of subsequent product. In this study, we tested a previously determined PDE value for cleaning-induced protein degradants of 650 µg/dose.
