Background: Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is highly prevalent with a significant associated morbidity and socioeconomic burden. Effective treatments for FMS remain elusive with pharmacological management (including use of opioids) often proving ineffective. Material And Methods: This was a retrospective study of DoD casualty records from the Expeditionary Medical Encounter Dataset and prescriptions for outpatient medications from the Pharmacy Data Transaction Service.

Background: Care home residents often lack access to end-of-life care from specialist palliative care providers. Palliative Care Needs Rounds, developed and tested in Australia, is a novel approach to addressing this.
