[Successful use of vemurafenib in a patient with resistant hairy cell leukemia].

The paper describes a case of a patient with refractory hairy cell leukemia. In spite of the absence of CD25 expression, the disease was classified as a classical form according to the WHO classification (2008), as also confirmed by the detection of BRAFV600E mutation. The disease was characterized by resistance to all lines of therapy (interferon-a, splenectomy, cladribin).

[Ambient air pollution with flour dust at the sites of baking and macaroni enterprises].

Ambient air pollution with flour dust (FD) and microorganisms, including microscopic fungi, was studied; the single concentrations of FD under emission plumes were 0.12-0.17 mg/m3; the total content of mould, field, and storage fungi was 700 +/- 30, 671 +/- 19, and 29 +/- 3, respectively.

[Giant chondroma of anterior cranial fossa].

A rare case of the giant chondroma is presented. The patient, 29, carried it over the last 24 years. At his admittance to the neurosurgery department the tumor attained huge dimensions and occupied the basement of the anterior cranial fossa on the left side penetrating into the orbital plates, frontal sinus and ethmoidal labyrinth.
