To identify priority areas to improve the design, conduct, and reporting of pediatric clinical trials, the international expert network, Standards for Research (StaR) in Child Health, was assembled and published the first 6 Standards in Pediatrics in 2012. After a recent review summarizing the 247 publications by StaR Child Health authors that highlight research practices that add value and reduce research "waste," the current review assesses the progress in key child health trial methods areas: consent and recruitment, containing risk of bias, roles of data monitoring committees, appropriate sample size calculations, outcome selection and measurement, and age groups for pediatric trials. Although meaningful change has occurred within the child health research ecosystem, measurable progress is still disappointingly slow.

Introduction: The need for money, the pursuit of pleasure, and the liberalized access to gambling have been documented in several pieces of literature as the drivers of gambling. Such drivers are predicated on commercialized gambling, leading to the growth of the gambling industry and constituting a structural influence that normalizes the activity among young people.

Methods: Through a qualitative inquiry, this study investigates the social agentic factors of individuals who are susceptible to gambling.

Objective: To examine how clinical usefulness in pediatric research with randomized controlled trials (RCTs) has changed over a 10-year period via a research usefulness tool composed of unique clinical usefulness criteria.

Study Design: We leveraged a pre-existing sample of child health RCTs published in 2007, used by our team in a previous study. Using the same methods, a research librarian executed a literature search in the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials for the 2017 cohort.

Plamepsin II has been identified as a therapeutic target in the life cycle and may lead to a drastic reduction in deaths caused by malaria worldwide. Africa flora is rich in medicinal qualities and possesses both simple and complex bioactive phytochemicals. This study utilized computational approaches like molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, quantum chemical calculations and ADMET to evaluate the plasmepsin II inhibitory properties of phytochemicals isolated from African antimalarial plants.
