Thermoelectric (TE) materials offer a promising solution to reduce green gas emissions, decrease energy consumption, and improve energy management due to their ability to directly convert heat into electricity and vice versa. Despite their potential, integrating new TE materials into bulk TE devices remains a challenge. To change this paradigm, the preparation of highly efficient tetrahedrite nanocomposites is proposed.

To enhance the integration of diverse non-navigated instruments and implants with Image-Guided Spine Surgery (IGSS) systems and address the challenges of closed-implant and line-of-sight issues with existing navigation adaptors, we developed a Universal Accessory (UA) featuring a radially symmetrical collet chuck mechanism. Utilizing SS 17-4 PH and Al 6061-T6 materials, the UA meets clinical criteria such as durability, sterilization compatibility, and biocompatibility. The UA's performance was thoroughly tested using an Optical Tracking System (OTS), a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), and a spine training model involving surgeons.

Introduction: The imaging modality kV CBCT on linear accelerators (linacs) is utilised to verify positioning and anatomy in cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment. There is a need for optimisation of radiological protection in kV CBCT imaging protocols to avoid unnecessarily high exposures to normal tissues surrounding the target.

Methods: A network of ICRP mentees from 23 countries were surveyed for available dosimetry equipment.

Objectives: To examine, among persons with substance use disorders (SUDs), how their decision-making to seek care is influenced by concerns about the privacy of their treatment records, how they weigh the risks and benefits of record sharing, and their awareness of how records are shared and regulated.

Methods: This qualitative study followed the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research and analyzed semi-structured interviews of 13 men and 14 women recruited from inpatient and residential SUD treatment programs. Due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, recruitment took place over an extended period (between May 2020 and July 2023).

Introduction: Implantology has become a primary solution for tooth loss due to excellent osseointegration and high long-term success rates. However, complications such as abutment screw loosening, especially in implant-supported single crowns, compromise prosthesis longevity. Anaerobic adhesives (AAs) have shown promise in mechanical fields for preventing screw loosening, but their effectiveness in dental implants, particularly zirconia, remains uncertain.
