Background: Recent years have seen the emergence of disease-modifying therapies in multiple sclerosis (MS), such as anti-cluster of differentiation 20 (anti-CD20) monoclonal antibodies, aiming to modulate the immune response and effectively manage MS. However, the relationship between anti-CD20 treatments and immunoglobulin G (IgG) levels, particularly the development of hypogammaglobulinemia and subsequent infection risks, remains a subject of scientific interest and variability. We aimed to investigate the intricate connection between anti-CD20 MS treatments, changes in IgG levels, and the associated risk of hypogammaglobulinemia and subsequent infections.

Objective: The critical shortage of healthcare workers, particularly in rural areas, is a major barrier to quality care for non-communicable diseases (NCD) in low-income and middle-income countries. In this proof-of-concept study, we aimed to test a decentralised model for integrated diabetes and hypertension management in rural Bangladesh to improve accessibility and quality of care.

Design And Setting: The study is a single-cohort proof-of-concept study.

The present study aimed to investigate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of the insertion technique of 3 bipolar electrodes in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), using C-arm type X-ray fluoroscopy-assisted ultrasonography (US) in guiding a multipolar radiofrequency ablation (RFA) system. Seventy-three patients with HCC treated with a multipolar RFA system (1 electrode, n = 2; 2 electrodes, n = 56; 3 electrodes, n = 17) were enrolled in this retrospective cohort study. To analyze their therapeutic outcome in this study, we divided among 17 patients using 3 electrodes into 2 subgroups: the C-arm type X-ray fluoroscopy-assisted (n = 7) and the US-guided alone groups (n = 10).

Background: The aim of this study was to assess the safety, efficacy, and predictors of outcomes for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation in patients with a history of breast cancer.

Methods: Consecutive patients with a history of breast cancer undergoing AF ablation from January 2010 to December 2021 were propensity matched in a 1:1 ratio to patients without a history of any cancer. The primary outcome was procedural efficacy, defined by clinical AF recurrence and repeat catheter ablation.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an immune-mediated inflammatory disease associated with atrial fibrillation (AF) and stroke.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of AF ablation in patients with RA.

Methods: All patients with RA undergoing AF ablation at our institution from 2010 to 2021 were propensity matched to patients without RA using 9 baseline characteristics.
