Background: Emerging evidence points to the beneficial role of greenspace exposure in promoting cardiovascular health. Most studies have evaluated such associations with conventional cardiovascular endpoints such as mortality, morbidity, or macrovascular markers. In comparison, the microvasculature, a crucial compartment of the vascular system where early subclinical signs of cardiovascular problems appear, has not been studied in association with greenspace exposure.

Background: Despite the improvement in therapies, pancreatic cancer represents one of the most cancer-related deaths. In our hypothesis, we propose that Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy with gemcitabine after pancreatic cytoreductive surgery could reduce tumor progression by reducing residual neoplastic volume and residual pancreatic cancer stem cells.

Materials And Methods: A randomized trial involving 42 patients.

: The ability to predict a long duration of mechanical ventilation (MV) by clinicians is very limited. We assessed the value of machine learning (ML) for early prediction of the duration of MV > 14 days in patients with moderate-to-severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). : This is a development, testing, and external validation study using data from 1173 patients on MV ≥ 3 days with moderate-to-severe ARDS.
