Isolated caecal necrosis-a case study.

A patient with right iliac fossa pain underwent CT angiography which demonstrated isolated caecal necrosis with associated superior mesenteric artery (SMA) stenosis. This was supported by colonoscopic findings and histopathological analysis. Isolated caecal necrosis is a rare presentation of ischaemic colitis.

(68)Ga-DOTATOC positron-emission tomography (PET) revealed high somatostatin receptor expression in a gross liver metastasis, in one abdominal lymph node and in several skeletal lesions.

Adjuvant trastuzumab with chemotherapy is the treatment of choice for patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor positive (HER2+) breast cancer and improves the outcome of patients with early breast cancer. However, it is potentially cardiotoxic and there are no validated methods of early detection of cardiotoxicity from trastuzumab following anthracycline-based chemotherapy. Tumor thrombus in the renal vein from an adrenal metastasis of lung cancer: 18FDG PET/CT findings.

Tumor thrombus is a rare complication of solid cancer. The authors report a case of a 76-year-old woman presenting a thick walled cystic mass in the lower lobe of the left lung. 18FDG positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) was performed, showing tracer accumulation in the wall of the pulmonary lesion and in the mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes.

Unusual endotracheal and breast metastasis from renal clear cell carcinoma: a case report.

We report a case of a woman affected by a metastatic renal clear cell carcinoma who showed unusual metastasis into the trachea and in the right breast 17 years and 21 years after nephrectomy respectively. Two endotracheal metastasis were identified during rigid bronchoscophy and were treated with endotracheal electro-surgery.
