Objectives: This study aims to study the impact of sociodemographic (SD), health status and resources (HSR), macroeconomic (ME), and Environmental (EV) factors on the infant mortality rate (IMR) in Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and from 1990 to 2022.
Design: A retrospective time-series study employing yearly data was conducted. A generalized least squares model was utilized to construct an exploratory model of IMR determinants for each country.
Recently developed digital positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scanners (digital PET [dPET]) have given new dimensions to molecular imaging. dPET scanner has very high sensitivity, spatial resolution, and image contrast that leads to increased uptake of signal in small-volume structures like pituitary gland (PG) making them visible on PET/CT scan even in absence of any pathology. Adequate knowledge of physiological fluoro-2 deoxy D glucose uptake in PG is required in interpretation of dPET for correct diagnosis and reducing unnecessary additional imaging.

ILC may demonstrate low metabolic rate due to lower tumor cell density, decreased proliferation rate, diffuse infiltration of surrounding tissue, and low level of GLUT-1 expression. The aim of this study is to assess the diagnostic accuracy of 18 F-FDG PET/CT in identifying bone metastases in ILC patients.

The recognition of this diagnosis is important in patients who are being treated for thyrotoxicosis, but it is also crucial to exclude other associated serious disease conditions. In this article, we report three different cases that showed ectopic thyroid tissue with the coexisting presence of an eutopic thyroid gland.
