Necrotizing external otitis (NEO) is a fulminant Pseudomonas infection of the external auditory canal affecting mainly elderly diabetic patients. Since the early descriptions, many authors have related cases of NEO in non diabetic patients. We report eight cases of NEO in young children.

The authors report their experience of audiometric test in childhood (less than fifty years old). It's an adaptation of Delaroche protocol which was first described by the Bordeaux's team. This prospective study has been realized in their works conditions in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) on 75 children under five years of age (average 2,64 years).

A case of an upper oesophageal duplication in a 44 year old man was reported. Dysphagia was the only clinical signs and further examinations CT Scan, MRI performed for diagnosis. Surgical treatment (thoracotomy) was performed and postoperative complication was underlined.
