[Mediastinal fibrosis and mirtazapin].

We report a 61-year-old woman who developed a superior vena cava syndrome due to mediastinal fibrosis. This mediastinal fibrosis resolved after the discontinuation of a chronic treatment by mirtazapin that the patient was receiving for the previous six years, suggesting a role of this treatment in the genesis of the mediastinal fibrosis.

[Septic osteoarthritis of the hip caused by Salmonella. Apropos of a case in a 16-year-old patient with normal immunity].

Referring to a case of post-traumatic osteoarthritis of the hip due to Salmonella, we reviewed the literature on the subject. Seldom encountered, this condition is often endemic and predominantly affects patients with chronic diseases. Despite advances in the field of antibiotics, medical treatment alone is usually insufficient and removal of osteosynthetic material is necessary.
