Infiltration of binary solution of hexane and ethanol into chromatography paper associated with their evaporation was found to generate unexpected initial rapid advancement of wicking front followed by its receding and readvancing in our previous research. In the present study, paper chromatography development of hydrophobic dye, Sudan III, and hydrophilic dye, Acid Blue 9, was carried out using binary solutions of hexane and ethanol in open environment, allowing the developing solvent been evaporated. Sudan III was developed with initial rapid advancing wicking front, while Acid Blue 9 was scarcely developed.

Constitutive heterochromatin is transcriptionally repressed and densely packed chromatin, typically harboring histone H3 Lys9 trimethylation (H3K9me3) and heterochromatin protein 1 (HP1). SUV420H2, a histone H4 Lys20 methyltransferase, is recruited to heterochromatin by binding to HP1 through its Heterochromatic Targeting Module (HTM). Here, we have identified three HP1 binding motifs within the HTM.

"Farm HACCP" incorporates the concept of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) into farm animal husbandry and sanitation management to ensure the safety of livestock products and improve productivity. Implementing farm HACCP may reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are derived from livestock manure and are responsible for odors, PM , and photochemical oxidants. In this study, the effects of implementing farm HACCP on the emissions, composition, and environmental impact of VOCs from sheds were evaluated.
