Objective: In the hospital setting, long waiting times and the lengthy formal process have increased the inefficiency and mismanagement resulting in the missing chance of saving the patients' life. Our aim was to assess the time wastage of every patient coming from reception to the actual emergency unit, to analyze the factor associated with the time lapse that occurs during every visit, and to see the effect of training on the services provided in the Pediatric emergency room.

Subjects And Methods: An intervention study was carried out in the following secondary care hospital in the Al Jouf region, Saudi Arabia: Esawiyah Hospital, Haditha Hospital, King Faisal Hospital, and Gurayat General Hospital among 400 study participants for 12 months.

Background: Assess current and future pediatric emergency physician supply and need at 26 pediatric emergency departments (EDs) in 10 administrative regions across Saudi Arabia from 2021 through 2030.

Methods: For 10 administrative regions across Saudi Arabia, data were obtained on the size of the pediatric population (children <14 years old), the expected number of pediatric ED visits, and the number of pediatric emergency, fellowship-trained consultant physicians for the years 2015 through 2019. Time series linear regression modeling was used to estimate annual pediatric population sizes and pediatric ED visits for 2021-2030, based on 2015-2019 data trends.

The absence of accepted crowding measurement tools that encompass the unique characteristics of pediatric emergency departments (EDs) creates a deficit in advancing efforts to identify and evaluate solutions for this growing problem. In this systematic review, we examined 4 studies that reported on the development and testing of multidimensional pediatric ED crowding measurements. Two investigations involved models (PEDOCS, SOTU-PED) that measured factors indicative or contributory to crowding.

Background: The improved life expectancy observed in patients living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection has made age-related cardiovascular complications, including arrhythmias, a growing health concern.

Hypothesis: We describe the temporal trends in frequency of various arrhythmias and assess impact of arrhythmias on hospitalized HIV patients using the Nationwide Inpatient Sample (NIS).

Methods: Data on HIV-related hospitalizations from 2005 to 2014 were obtained from the NIS database using International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision (ICD-9) codes.
