Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a significant health problem associated with several risk factors, increasingly driven by non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and metabolic syndrome. This association poses a challenge for the primary treatments of HCC, which may include immune checkpoint inhibitors and vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors, due to their potential cardiotoxic effect. Introduction And Importance: Pulmonary lymphangitis carcinomatosis (PLC) is a rare and aggressive condition that silently spreads cancer cells through the lungs' lymphatic system. Often linked to advanced malignancies, PLC often mimics other pulmonary diseases, making diagnosis challenging. This report shares the unique case of an asymptomatic patient whose routine follow-up imaging led to the early discovery of PLC, highlighting the life-saving potential of attentive medical care.

Honey bee viruses are serious pathogens that can cause poor colony health and productivity. We analyzed a multi-year longitudinal dataset of abundances of nine honey bee viruses (deformed wing virus A, deformed wing virus B, black queen cell virus, sacbrood virus, Lake Sinai virus, Kashmir bee virus, acute bee paralysis virus, chronic bee paralysis virus, and Israeli acute paralysis virus) in colonies located across Canada to describe broad trends in virus intensity and occurrence among regions and years. We also tested climatic variables (temperature, wind speed, and precipitation) as predictors in an effort to understand possible drivers underlying seasonal patterns in viral prevalence.
