Clinical Application of the Fetal HQ Technique in the Evaluation of Normal Fetal Cardiac Function at Different Gestational Weeks.

Objectives: To investigate the clinical value of fetal heart quantification (fetal HQ) in the evaluation of normal fetal heart size, morphology, and cardiac function at different gestational weeks.

Materials And Methods: A total of 101 pregnant women diagnosed with a healthy fetus by fetal echocardiography from September 2021 to December 2023 were selected and classified into four different periods of gestational weeks: 20-28 weeks (25 cases), 29-32 weeks (26 cases), 33-36 weeks (26 cases), and 37-40 weeks (24 cases). Quantitative analyses were performed by automatically tracking the endocardium using fetal HQ software that comes with the Voluson E10 from GE.

Transcriptomic landscape of Hras12V oncogene-induced hepatocarcinogenesis with gender disparity.

The genesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is closely related to male factors and hyper-activated Ras signals. A transcriptomic database was established via RNA-Seq of HCC (T) and the adjacent precancerous liver tissue (P) of Hras12V transgenic mice (Ras-Tg, HCC model) and the normal liver tissue of wild-type mice (W) of both sexes. Comparative analysis within W, P, and T and correlation expression pattern analysis revealed common/unique cluster-enriched items towards HCC between the sexes.

Validation of the Maslach burnout inventory-general survey 9-item short version (MBI-GS9) among care aides in Canadian nursing homes.

Background: The Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) is the leading measure of burnout for all occupations. The MBI-GS9, the 9-item version of the MBI-GS, was formulated based on the MBI-GS and has been used for several years. However, very few studies have systematically tested its psychometric properties, and none have focused on care aides working in nursing homes who are susceptible to burnout.

Arene-Cucurbiturils: Benzene-Containing Cucurbituril[2,4] and Benzene-Containing Cucurbituril[3,6].

Benzene-containing cucurbituril[2,4] and benzene-containing cucurbituril[3,6], the structures of cucurbit[]urils with some glycoluril units replaced by benzene rings, are constructed through condensation of specific benzene-containing motifs. These novel macrocycles inherit cucurbit[]urils' concave cavity and provide chemical modification potentiality and chromophores. Benzene-containing cucurbituril[2,4] shows a -symmetric macrocycle, while benzene-containing cucurbituril[3,6] exhibits a distinctive two-cavity structure (one big and one small) that resembles a gourd and could potentially accommodate two guests different in size simultaneously.

Association of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome with Endothelial Health, Cardiovascular Risk, and Cellular Aging.

Objective: To study measures of endothelial health, cardiovascular risk, and cellular aging between PCOS patients and a reproductive age normative cohort.

Design: Cross-sectional study.

Subjects: Community-based PCOS patients and a normative ovarian aging cohort as controls, aged 45 or younger at the time of evaluation.
