Metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) in an adrenal gland develops in 1.8% of cases (in synchrony or in metachrony) for patients with liver metastatic lesion and aggravates for certain prognosis for long-term survival. There are no data concerning colorectal metastasis in an adrenal gland with tumor thrombosis of inferior vena cava (IVC) in world-wide literature.

[Medical and biologic research of electromagnetic fields in radiofrequencies range. Results and prospects].

The authors present research findings on the problem of technology-related electromagnetic fields as an occupational risk factor of workers health disturbances, and on the issue of prevention measures development against this adverse physical factor effects. Prospects for further research development in the field of electromagnetic safety are discussed.

[Phospholipids and structural modification of tissues and cell membranes for adaptation in high altitude mountains].

The nature of the impact of physical factors of high altitudes (3200 m) on the lipids of tissues and membranes of animals was researched. It was established that the adaptation process in Wistar rats was followed by peroxide degradation and subsequent modification of the phospholipids' structure of tissues and microsomal membranes. Adaptive phospholipids reconstruction takes place in microsomal membranes in the tissues of the lungs, brain, liver and skeletal muscles.

[The diagnostic value of RNA oncomarkers in evaluation of malignant breast tumors].

The levels of the RNA oncomarkers, telomerase (hTERT), cytokeratin-19 (CK-19) and mammaglobin (MAM) have been investigated in capillary blood of female patients with mammary ductal carcinoma. The study revealed overexpression of all three factors in patients with this pathology. This overexpression was not found in healthy donors and female patients with mammary fibroadenoma.
