[Treatment of septicopyemic forms of acute hematogenic osteomyelitis using dimexide and hyperbaric oxygenation].

Dimexide and HBO-therapy were included in the curative complex for 54 patients with septicopyemic forms of acute hematogenic osteomyelitis, The authors' recommendations proved to be effective which was demonstrated by better general state of the children, less edema of tissues, stimulation of reparative processes of the osseous tissue in the injury zone, normalization of general and biochemical indices of blood.

[Use of dimexide in the treatment of acute hematogenic osteomyelitis in children].

Under observation were 132 children with acute hematogenous osteomyelitis. The complex treatment of an acute stage of hematogenic osteomyelitis included also the local use of 33% dimexide (DMSO) solution together with antibiotics. The observations indicated a high efficacy of the suggested therapeutic method.
