This paper aims to report clinical, laboratory, radiographic, and pathological features in a case of cervical vertebral stenotic myelopathy (CVSM) affecting a 4-month-old Nelore calf for the first time. During physical examination, the calf could stand if assisted when lifting by the tail but fallen to the ground when trying to walk. Attempts to flex and extend the neck to the right side failed.

Objective: We aimed to follow the biochemical and hematologic alterations of equine blood stored in plastic bags containing citrate-phosphate-dextrose-adenine (CPDA-1) for up to 28 days.
Methods: Whole blood samples (450 mL) were collected from 20 Brazilian Saddle horses into CPDA-1 pouches and stored between 2°C and 6°C in a blood bank.
Background: Physical exercise is an essential factor in preventing and treating metabolic diseases by promoting systemic benefits throughout the body. The molecular factors involved in this process are poorly understood. Micro RNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that inhibit mRNA transcription.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA practical and sustainable method to prepare polymeric hollow microcapsules (PHMs) using cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) stabilized Pickering emulsion polymerization was developed. Pristine CNCs hydrolyzed from wood pulp are hydrophilic and could be employed as emulsifiers to prepare oil-in-water (O/W) Pickering emulsions. The O/W Pickering emulsions were used as templates for the Pickering emulsion polymerization of hydrophobic monomers inside the emulsion droplets.
