The basic aspect of the studies concerned the correction of protein-calorie deficiency on the basis of additional nutrition through sipping of hypercaloric formula "Nutridrink" and the standard enteral formula "Nutrisone dry powder", which were given to in 29 and 20 patients, respectively, on postoperative day 1 for 3 weeks.
