Monkeypox virus (MPXV) is zoonotic and capable of infecting many mammal species. However, whether common companion animals are susceptible to MPXV infection is unclear. During July 2022-March 2023, we collected animal and environmental swab samples within homes of confirmed human mpox case-patients and tested for MPXV and human DNA by PCR.

The geopolitical conflict between Russia and Ukraine has disrupted Europe's natural gas supplies, driving up gas prices and leading to a shift towards biomass for residential heating during colder months. This study assessed the consequent air quality and toxicological impacts in Milan, Italy, focusing on fine particulate matter (PM, d < 2.5 μm) emissions.

Dyspnea-Related Dimensions And Self-Efficacy: Associations With Well-Being in Advanced Lung Cancer.

Context: Dyspnea is a complex, multidimensional symptom comprising sensory-perceptual, affective, and functional domains that commonly persists in patients with lung cancer and impairs mental health and quality of life (QOL). However, data are lacking on how dyspnea's dimensions or self-efficacy to manage dyspnea are associated with patient outcomes.

Objectives: To assess the associations of dyspnea dimensions (dyspnea-related sensory-perceptual experience, affective distress, and functional impact) and dyspnea self-efficacy with depression, anxiety, and QOL in patients with advanced lung cancer reporting dyspnea.

Maxillary Sinusitis Induced by Medication-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw.

The involvement of maxillary sinuses in patients taking bone-related medications has not been comprehensively considered in the literature, mostly dental. Considering the fact that paranasal sinuses are often captured in dental radiographs, it is incumbent upon dental practitioners to recognize abnormal presentations in the paranasal sinuses to ensure the appropriate management of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). We present a case of a giant cell tumor (GCT) with atypical chronic sinusitis manifestation leading to MRONJ.
