Nonlinear responses of individual neurons are both experimentally established and considered fundamental for the functioning of neuronal circuitry. Consequently, one may envisage the collective dynamics of large networks of neurons exhibiting a large repertoire of nonlinear behaviors. However, an ongoing and central challenge in the modeling of neural dynamics involves the trade-off between tractability and biological realism.

The focus is on small target volumes near radiation-sensitive organs in the ocular region, to evaluate the advantages of these techniques in treating skin cancer.
Methods: This retrospective observational analysis included patients who underwent skin cancer HDR-BT Freiburg flap treatment between 2019 and 2023.
Multinodular steatosis represents a relatively uncommon manifestation of fatty liver disease (FLD). Co-morbidities such as metabolic syndrome or cirrhosis are often associated. Despite typical features of imaging (ultrasound, CT, and MRI), core biopsy sometimes remains the gold standard for diagnosis.

The main aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between Posttraumatic Stress Symptoms (PTSS) and rumination (intrusive and deliberate) in individuals who experienced a traumatic event at different times. In particular, to better understand the possible mechanisms underlying the association between PTSS and rumination, the study aimed to explore whether the time since the traumatic event could serve as a moderator of the relationship between PTSS and rumination. To achieve this objective, 601 participants were recruited using a snowballing strategy and were asked to complete the PTSD Checklist for the DSM-5 and the Event-Related Rumination Inventory.
