This research focuses on the utilization of nano glauconite clay as an environmentally friendly sorbent for the removal of cationic dyes, particularly Methylene Blue (MB), from polluted water. The glauconite clay was sourced from the El Gidida region of Egypt and subjected to grinding in a laboratory-type ball mill to ensure homogeneity and increase the active sites available for the adsorption process. The resulting ball milled nano clay (BMNC) was characterized using techniques such as X-ray fluorescence (XRF), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD).

  • This study tested the ability of the adenovirus type 5 fiber knob (Ad5-FK) to provoke an immune response in mice, showing that it can bind effectively to cells and stimulate strong antibody and T-cell responses.
  • The results suggest that Ad5-FK could serve as a promising vaccine candidate by generating a robust immune reaction necessary for protection against HAdVs.

Chemical grafting of low-density polyethylene film blended with ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (PE/EPDM) using styrene monomer followed by a sulfonation process was investigated. Different factors affecting the grafting process, such as monomer and initiator concentrations, time of reaction, and grafting temperature, were studied. Sulfonation of the grafted films was carried out using chlorosulfonic acid in dichloromethane.
