Lithium-Calcium Greases Having Carbon Nanotubes and Aluminum Oxide Base Nanoadditives: Preparation and Characteristics of Nanogrease.

This research presents the results of the effect of different concentrations (2, 4, 6, and 8 wt %) of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and aluminum oxide nanoparticles (AlO) on the characteristics of lithium-calcium grease (LCG). The LCG/AlO and LCG/MWCNT were studied and illustrated by measuring the dropping point, consistency, thermal conductivity, and tribological characteristics of nanograins (wear, friction, and welding point) by using a four-ball tribometer. The morphologies of the additives and the nanogrease were examined and evaluated by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.

Ecological indicators for qualitative assessment of Ojarud River: A case study.

Today, the application of ecological indicators based on organisms has replaced traditional saprobic approaches for assessment of the quality of rivers impaired due to organic pollution and some other environmental disturbances. This study aimed to weigh the quality of the Ojarud River in Ardabil, Iran, applying biological and physiological indices of macro-invertebrates. A total of 12,524 samplings were fulfilled at four stations (S1, S2, S3, S4) from the headstream to downstream by a Surber sampler (30 × 30 cm) from June/2020 to April/2021.

BAL neopterin : a novel marker for cell-mediated immunity in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and lung cancer.

Background: Neopterin is derived from guanosine triphosphate and is produced by stimulated macrophages under the influence of gamma-interferon of lymphocyte origin. It has been suggested that it is an excellent marker for the activation of the monocyte/macrophage axis in some clinical situations. However, to our knowledge, the relationship of BAL neopterin levels to disease states has not been studied.
