This review focuses on the role of arterial hypertension and hyperlipidemia as the most important risk factors of early disability and death. The facts are provided that many persons with those risk factors do not have the adequate control of blood pressure and atherogenic fractions of blood serum lipoproteins. The review addresses prospects for optimizing pharmacotherapy with fixed combinations of drugs for arterial hypertension and dyslipidemia.

Most researchers understand just an idea of this method: a grayscale image is considered as topographic relief, which is flooded from initial basins. However, frequently they are not aware of the options of the algorithm and the peculiarities of its realizations.

These images are displaced relatively to each other, and an alignment procedure is required. Traditional methods for alignment of a 3D image are based on a comparison of two adjacent slices.

This study aimed to investigate the spectrum of germ-line mutations in Russian LS patients. LS-related mismatch repair (MMR) genes were analyzed in 16 patients, who were forwarded to genetic testing due to strong clinical features of LS and had high-level microsatellite instability (MSI-H) in the tumor (n = 14) or unknown MSI status (n = 2).

We recently described a new bioactive eicosanoid generated by cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) turnover during platelet activation that can stimulate human neutrophil integrin expression. On the basis of mass spectrometry (MS/MS and MS), stable isotope labeling, and GC-MS analysis, we previously proposed a structure of 8-hydroxy-9,11-dioxolane eicosatetraenoic acid (DXA).
