Although new pediatric human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections have declined in the Asia-Pacific region, coverage of interventions to prevent vertical HIV transmission remains inconsistent. The TREAT Asia pediatric HIV cohort includes data from ∼7700 children and adolescents with HIV (90% perinatally acquired) who have been under care at 18 centers in six Asian countries. Research on their HIV treatment outcomes has been complemented by studies on coinfections and comorbidities.

INTRODUCTIONSHINE (Shorter Treatment for Minimal Tuberculosis in Children) was the first Phase 3 paediatric TB treatment-shortening trial. Robust chest X-ray (CXR) classification methods were integral to excluding severe disease for trial eligibility and to retrospectively adjudicating TB status at baseline. We describe and critically evaluate the CXR classification approaches and processes used in the SHINE trial.

Objective: We described mortality and loss to follow-up (LTFU) in children and adolescents who were under care for more than 5 years following initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Methods: Patients were followed from 5 years after ART until the earlier of their 25th birthday, last visit, death, or LTFU. We used Cox regression to assess predictors of mortality and competing risk regression to assess factors associated with LTFU.

Introduction: India's National TB Elimination Programme plans to roll out short-course TB preventive therapy (TPT) using 3 months of rifapentine and isoniazid (3HP). Understanding the feasibility and safety of children in programmatic settings is critical for widespread implementation. We present the findings of a targeted scale-up of 3HP among children and adolescents living with HIV (CALHIV) and child household contacts (>2 to <6 years) of pulmonary TB patients (CHHC).

Atomically precise graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) synthesized from the bottom-up exhibit promising electronic properties for high-performance field-effect transistors (FETs). The feasibility of fabricating FETs with GNRs (GNRFETs) has been demonstrated, with ongoing efforts aimed at further improving their performance. However, their long-term stability and reliability remain unexplored, which is as important as their performance for practical applications.
