Reaction of Mast Cells in the Zone of Polypropylene Mesh Implantation.

Reaction of mast cells of adult male Wistar rats (n=15) in the zone of polypropylene mesh fixation was studied by histochemical, immunohistochemical, and traditional morphological methods on days 1, 5, 10, and 30 after implantation. Immediately after the intervention, mast cells stimulated the processes aimed at wound healing. Secretion of mast cells was clearly regulatory.

[Cytokines in surgery for pulmonary tuberculosis].

Aim: To evaluate the effect of various methods of thoracoplasty on local production of cytokines in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.

Material And Methods: The main group consisted of patients after traditional thoracoplasty. Thoracoplasty was compared with endoprosthesis of polypropylene mesh 'Surgipro - SPMM-149'.

Effect of Hyperlipidemia and Plasma Cytokine Levels in Rats after Anterior Abdominal Wall Reconstruction with the Use of Synthetic Endoprostheses.

The effect of hyperlipidemia on the systemic production of cytokines was evaluated in the plasma of rats after anterior abdominal wall reconstruction with polypropylene (Esfil) and polytetrafluorethylene (Ecoflon) endoprostheses. The reference group was formed from animals without hyperlipidemia, in which anterior abdominal wall plasty was carried out with the use of the same endoprostheses. Intact rats without hyperlipidemia and intervention served as the control.

[Treatment of paracolostomic hernias using polypropylene mesh].

It was analyzed the results of treatment of 23 patients with large paracolostomic hernias. Twenty patients underwent colostomy suturing and hernial ring Onlay-plasty with polypropylene mesh without tension. Onlay-plasty of hernial ring with own tissues and polypropylene mesh and colostomy reconstruction outside of implant were performed in 3 patients.

[VARIANT OF HEMOSTATIC SUTURE IN MILLIGAN-MORGAN OPERATION].

On the basis of great clinical experience, the authors developed the method of choice of optimal surgical aid and suggested an original surgical method of treatment of complicated hemorrhoid. The results obtained were analyzed. There was reliably noted, that the quantity of early postoperative complications decreased, an expression of pain syndrome was lower and there were no relapses during three-year of follow-up.
