Background: Functional somatic syndromes are common in primary care and represent a challenge for general practitioners (GPs), with a risk of deterioration in the doctor-patient relationship, and of compassion fatigue on the part of the physician. Little is known about how to teach better management of these symptoms.
Methods: The aim of our scientific team was to develop a training session about functional somatic syndromes for GPs, with the objective to improve the therapeutic attitude of the participants.
Objective: This study assessed the relevance of auditory brainstem response (ABR) thresholds in evaluating cochlear implantation (CI) candidacy by studying their correlation with functional hearing in patients with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL).
Design And Study Sample: In this retrospective study, we examined correlations between ABR thresholds, speech perception scores in quiet and pure-tone audiometry in 191 adults. We compared these correlations between individuals with different degrees of SNHL to discern differences in potential CI candidates and individual with less severe SNHL.
This study investigates novel strategies to improve membrane performance and stability in the extraction of aromatic amines for chiral amine production. The effects of silica nanoparticle addition and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) coating were explored, with a focus on the selective extraction of α-methylbenzylamine (MBA) and 1-methyl-3-phenylpropylamine (MPPA) from isopropyl amine (IPA). This work introduces a comparative analysis between open and tight membrane extraction (ME) systems, with and without the ionic liquid (IL) [P][N(Tf)].

Some limitations still need to be overcome such as the huge computational load of high-definition holograms and the noise introduced in the reconstructed scene during the quantization process. In this paper, we propose what we believe is a novel view-specific layer-based stereogram approach combined with a view-dependent error diffusion algorithm that aims to solve those limitations.
