A systematic review and meta-analysis of surgical approaches in pelvic fracture-associated urethral injury in children: Primary endoscopic realignment versus delayed urethroplasty.

Background: The management of pediatric patients afflicted with pelvic fracture urethral injury (PFUI) remains a topic of ongoing debate and controversy within the realm of urology. There is persistent discourse concerning the optimal timing for intervention, specifically between immediate primary realignment (PR) and delayed urethroplasty via suprapubic cystostomy (SCDU). This study was undertaken with the objective of conducting a systematic review of the existing body of evidence, with a focus on comparing the outcomes associated with PR and SCDU as interventions for PFUI among pediatric population.

An outbreak of H1N1 Influenza A among the students and staff of school X, Kozhikode, January 2020.

Background: An outbreak of fever and cough was notified to public health authorities by the management of school X among their students, Kozhikode district, Kerala, on Jan 1, 2020. We conducted an outbreak investigation to confirm the diagnosis, describe the case patients by time, place, and person, and propose appropriate recommendations.

Materials And Methods: We defined a probable case of influenza as any student or staff of school X, Kozhikode district with a fever and cough between Dec 30, 2019, and Jan 14, 2020.

There are limited data for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from smallholder agricultural systems in tropical peatlands, with data for non-CO emissions from human-influenced tropical peatlands particularly scarce. The aim of this study was to quantify soil CH and N O fluxes from smallholder agricultural systems on tropical peatlands in Southeast Asia and assess their environmental controls. The study was carried out in four regions in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Patellofemoral functional outcome of gracilis sparing compared to gracilis sacrificing ACL reconstruction.

Introduction: The hamstring is the most popular autograft used for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). Despite its excellent outcome, donor site morbidity is also irritating. Patellofemoral problems are reported to be one of the side effects after hamstring autograft harvesting, suggested to be due to both gracilis & semitendinosus sacrificing.

The outcome of Sauve Kapandji procedure on patient with DRUJ arthritis: A case report.

Background: The distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) is frequently involved in inflammatory diseases, both de-generative and notably traumatic, resulting in pain, wrist motion and strength loss, and severe functional impairment. DRUJ dysfunction can be highly incapacitating. The Sauve-Kapandji (SK) procedure can be indicated to address multiple etiologies of DRUJ dysfunction.
